Cryogenic treatment refers to a method in which liquid nitrogen is used as a refrigerant to treat workpieces at a temperature below -130°C. Cryogenic treatment can significantly improve the toughness of the workpiece without reducing the strength and hardness of the workpiece. Cryogenic treatment methods are divided into liquid method and gas method. The liquid method is to put the workpiece directly into liquid nitrogen, and the processing temperature is -150℃. The disadvantage is that the thermal shock is large, and sometimes even causes the workpiece to crack; the gas method is to cool by the latent heat of vaporization of liquid nitrogen and the endothermic heat of low-temperature nitrogen, and the processing temperature Up to -196℃, the treatment effect is better.
